A girl being the main character: 

pros 

• For the audience it would be quite horrifying to watch a girl get beat up by a gang of boys. 
• It would engage the audience due to it being different 
• It leaves room for vast amounts of emotion due to girls being more emotional than boys. 

Cons

• People would struggle to relate to the scenario 
• Due to it being hard to relate to, the audience could lose interest due to realizing that it is a made up story 
• The story life would more suit a boy 

The confrontation happening in the day time:

Pros

• Would engage the audience due to it being something different
• Would be a shock to the audience due to them being able to see the details of the confrontation clearly 
• It would make the short film unique 

Cons

• The scenario does not fit day time very well 
• It would take away the dark emotion behind the story 
• It would feel unrealistic due to the general scenario happening at when it gets dark 

The boy shouting at the gang then they retaliate: 

Pros

• It would show how violent the gang are in these situations 
• It would show that the gang is not willing to reason 
• The audience would feel more engaged due to feeling what is the boy doing shouting at a gang 

Cons

• The audience would feel a little bit like the boy asked for it 
• It would be unlikely that a boy would shout at a gang that consists of a group 
• It would take away the feeling of people being able to relate to it 

Ideas for single camera drama

Ideas for my single camera drama. In the below will be contemplating possible scenarios.

• Rival gang confronts the boy due to being horrible to a member of the rivals gangs family member 
• Rival gang are bored and looking for something to spice up their day 
• The boy actually shouts at the rival gang and then they retaliate 
• The boy owes one of the gang members money and then the rival gang retaliates 
• One of the rival gang member bullies the main character within school hours

• A teen-age boy being the main character
• A teen-age girl being the main character 

Story structure: 

• Day in the life of the girl? 
• Day in the life of a boy?
• Starts with them doing day to day things however at night is when the confrontation happens
• The confrontation happens within the day 
• The confrontation happens within the morning 
• Documentary consists of only the boys life and no other characters take the spotlight 
• spotlight pays attention the mum at the end to show further emotion 
• spotlight pays attention to his sister for further emotion
